Welcome to the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Mekdela Amba University, a hub of academic excellence, research innovation, and community-focused service. As Dean, I am proud to lead a college that not only nurtures future agricultural professionals but also contributes directly to Ethiopia’s rural transformation and food security.

The college comprises eight vibrant departments, supported by a growing number of faculty members with advanced qualifications, including numerous PhD candidates specializing in diverse fields of agriculture and natural resource management. Their research is addressing real-world agricultural problems and contributing to the generation of sustainable solutions at both local and national levels.
