Mekdela Amba University vice president office of Academics, Research,Technology transfer and community service is hosting its second national research conference with the theme “Holistic Research: Fostering Synergy across Fields”
The University’s Vice President of Administration and Development, Dr. Sewageng Asrat, delivered a welcome message to the oudience.
Dr. Selshi Abi, Vice President of Academic, Research, Technology Transfer and Community Services of Mekdela Amba University, said in his opening speech,” In the case of Mekdela Amba University is found in the area where the university got its name the historical place Mekdela Amba Mountain and Borena Saint Worehimeno National Park, and other large historical places are located around it,effective research based work should be done”
The day’s guest of honor and keynote speaker, Mekdela Amba University Board Member Simeneh Dessie (Dr.) said that scholars should try to solve problems through research in order to solve the problems facing the world.
The second keynote speech was given by Wollo University history teacher and researcher Asefa Balcha (Dr.) who pointed out that since the university is based in an area where many historical events took place, it should work to make the area a tourist destination by supporting these events with research.
This research conference will be held for two consecutive days.
